Conventional lithium batteries age relatively quickly and are therefore harmful to the environment due to the use of critical raw materials. Our vision: to make the energy transition sustainable and affordable with our solid-state battery.
The company has been managed by Roland Jung (CEO) and Dr Thomas Lützenrath (COO) since it was founded in February 2022.
The company also founded an advisory board in 2022, which has been contributing its knowledge and contacts to the company’s development ever since. Its current members are Prof Dr Thomas Zellweger for economic issues, networks and university cooperation and Ulrich Lissek for corporate communications and political networks.
Roland Jung completed his commercial training in Zurich, followed by further training in the food sector specialising in the meat industry. He then studied at the SIU (Swiss Institute for Corporate Training in Zurich, specialising in business administration for SMEs).
He then went on to specialise in property management and human resources management. After joining the Business Consulting division of MT Treuhand AG and taking over the management in 2007, he worked in the areas of management consulting, business analysis and optimisation.
He has been CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Swiss Clean Battery AG since 2022.
Dr Thomas Lützenrath studied economics at the universities of Wuppertal, Stanford and Harvard. He was a member of the management board of the management consultancy Kienbaum and responsible for TMT (Telco, Media & Technology).
Subsequently Senior Executive Vice President “Group Organisation” and “Group CIO” of Deutsche Telekom AG, Bonn, one of the largest technology groups in Europe. As Executive Vice President “Group Strategy” at Thomas Cook AG, he was responsible for the reorganisation of the Group in preparation for the IPO. He is also a partner at the auditing firm Ernst & Young and CEO and CRO of various technology companies, such as the AMK Group and the Bartec Group.
He has been Chief Operating Officer of High Performance Battery AG since 2018 and COO of Swiss Clean Battery AG since 2022.
